The Mission

To provide a suitable environment for people to respond to the Lord’s invitation, “Come to Me all you who are weary and find life burdensome and I will refresh you” (Mt 11:28) and “come with me by yourselves to some quiet place where you can rest for a while.” (Mk 6:31) Here you will have the opportunity to renew your faith and deepen your spirituality.

Purpose of the Mission

The purpose of the mission is to join the Immaculate Heart of Mary in leading all people into the Trinitarian Love of God. Mary draws us to the Heart of her Son that we, like her, may allow Him to be born in our lives through the power of the Holy Spirit. Like Mary, consecrated in the Word, in the Truth, we join with Jesus in working and praying that all may be one. “Father may they be one in Us as You are one in Me and I am in You….with Me in them and You in Me, may they be so completely one that the world will realize that it was You who sent Me…so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them.” (Jn 17: 21-23) We join Mary and strive to make her prayer to the Father our own: “Let it be done to me according to your word.” (Lk 1:38)

Spring of Renewal for All People

The Marian Center for Christ will be a Catholic Center for Evangelization that will provide an unprecedented opportunity and a suitable environment for spiritual enrichment and personal renewal of faith. It will be unique in offering what no other center provides, becoming a place of pilgrimage for those seeking spiritual renewal and God’s presence in their lives. Set in a Catholic based environment, it will be open to people of all faiths. People will be able to visit on a year round basis to participate in conferences, retreats, and many other spiritually enriching activities in an atmosphere that promotes interior silence, reflection and union with God.

Our world feels an urgent need for the Gospel. Perhaps we feel this need precisely because the world seems to be distancing itself from the Gospel, or rather because the world has not yet drawn near to the Gospel” (St. John Paul II, Crossing the Threshold of Hope, Page 114)

“I sense that the moment has come to commit all of the Church’s energies to a New Evangelization and to the mission ad gentes. No believer in Christ, no institution of the Church can avoid this supreme duty: to proclaim Christ to all peoples” (St. John Paul II, Redemptoris Missio, no. 3)
